 Reminders for Parents

EMERGENCY EARLY DISMISSAL

Be sure to return your emergency early dismissal form. If we do not receive the form back indicating where your child(ren) is to go, we will conclude that you want your child(ren) to ride home as they normally are scheduled.

Keeping you informed is a top priority at Unity Point School. That’s why we have adopted the Blackboard Connect Notification Service (previously AlertNow), which will allow us to send a telephone or e-mail message to you providing important information about school events or emergencies.

We anticipate using Blackboard Connect to notify you of school delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, as well as remind you about absences, various events, including report card distribution, open house, field trips, and more.

In the event of an emergency at school, you can have peace of mind knowing that you will be informed immediately by phone. The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information for each student, so please make certain that we have your most current phone numbers and email address. If this information changes during the year, please let us know immediately.

PLEASE do not call school, this simply ties-up telephone lines that are needed to get info out. Also do not call school employees at home. Instead listen to the radio, TV or log on to our website for school closing information. In the event you do call school, a taped message will play indicating if there is school and other info you may need to know. If you do not see or hear Unity Point mentioned, then you may assume there will be school.

School closing information can be found on the following television and radio stations:

NEW FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR - PAY LUNCH MONEY ONLINE!

Attention

In an effort to assist parents/guardians, Unity Point School has implemented a new and convenient way to pay for your child(ren)’s meals.  Lunch money can now be paid online by logging onto myschoolbucks.com.  You can create an account for your child(ren) and see their account balance and any deposits you have made.  You can also sign up for low balance alerts and automatic payments.

If you like the convenience of paying bills on line, we hope this process will assist you in managing your child(ren)’s lunch account.  A small processing fee will be incurred each time a deposit is made.

We will continue to accept lunch payments in the main office by either cash or check.

Visit the MySchoolBucks folder to view and download any additional materials.

SCHOOL DISMISSAL

When your child's schedule changes as to where they are supposed to go after school, please be sure and send a note to the teacher so that they are aware of what your child is suppose to do. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
