No snow… but let’s pretend we have some on this day! 🙂

Well…that about wraps up this trip…what an amazing experience traveling with such a great group of students and adults. Parents…you’ve done an amazing job with these young people! Seeing them outside of the classroom, exploring the “real” world with their peers was so much fun! They learned a lot…and not just about Washington DC and New York..They learned how to navigate life including how get through an airport, use a debit card, manage their belongings, follow a tight time schedule, follow important, very specific directions, make good choices, pack themselves, and to be extremely flexible! This trip was jammed packed and they never complained (except for the heat..haha!) They were up early, out late and busy the whole day! It was fun and exhausting! Chris and I would personally like to thank all of the parents who loaned us your children for this experience. They were awesome and represented you and your family very well. We had lots of complements on their behavior..from people at the hotels, airports, restrauant employees, staff members at the exhibits, to Jim and Catie our tour/bus directors! Our kids were awesome! Also a big shout out and thank you for the adults who joined us on this adventure! To Annie and Diane..thanks for jumping in with a large group of middle school kiddos. To Sue, Jill, and Maddie…thanks for using those teacher instincts to move things along smoothly, to Dr. James-Gross—thank you for always supporting our crazy ideas and for allowing us to give these kids an unforgettable experience, and to the main man..Chris—thank you for always dragging me along! You are an amazing teacher, educator and friend! You have always wanted to get kids outside and learning and found a way to do it in a memorable way! We have had many adventures together and for that I thank you dearly! Now go enjoy that retirement…a well deserved honor! Until the next one…thanks again for the memories!

The Louis Vuitton store. Currently the store front is undergoing a major renovation, so instead of seeing the scaffolding and such, they designed this wrap of the entire building to hid the construction but to promote their new store! Definately eye catching in the middle of the office buildings.
